"Ummo found great workable ways of interpreting our website designs and converting them into a fully responsive solution. And they remained cheerfully patient with our many pernickety requests whilst detailing the smallest of details."
— Michael Smith, Director Cog Design
The Charles Dickens Museum in London holds the world’s most important Dickens collection with over 100,000 items including manuscripts, rare editions, personal items, paintings and other visual sources. Working for Cog Design we were asked to convert the design they produced into HTML/CSS onto a flexible grid to allow the site to adapt to various screen sizes.
Using Wordpress as a CMS it allowed the team at the Dickens Museum the maximum flexibility in terms of adding events, updating content and keeping the site up to date.

Extra considerations were taken for mobile screen sizes to make sure content adapted to suit users of that environment. Custom javascript functions allow the site to offer an enriched experience for users with modern web browsers whilst keeping the site accesible for those with older browsers.
